The former chairman who was arrested by the police since last week, Monday 6th July, 2020 has been in the custody of police for 10 days.
After the arrest, he has been appearing before the panel to answer questions concerning the allegations that the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami has levelled against him.
It was revealed that the Magu was accused of vague account of the interest that was accrued to recovered funds in addition to insubordination and purchase of properties in Dubai.
However, it was reported earlier that the Inspector General of Police (IGP) while responding to the letter that was written by Magu's lawyer, Tosin Ojoamo for the release of his client said that Ibrahim Magu was not detained by the police but by the panel who investigates him on EFCC activities under his leadership.
