Due to the increasing number of rape cases and sexual abuse of children, many countries have adopted a harsh punishment for rapist. They made these policies in order to curtail or tackle the rate at which ladies are abused sexually.

Lately, the Federal house of representatives in Nigeria rejected castration as punishment for rapists. Though some states have commenced the process of amending the law in order to make castration as a punishment for rapists.

There are various countries in the world that have implemented castration as punishment for rape. Below are some of those countries.

1) Indonesia : Indonesia is one of the countries that have authorized the use of chemical castration on rapists. This law was made since October 2016.

2) Czech Republic: This country have implemented the use of surgical castration as a punishment for rapists in the country. This law was introduced since 1966.

3) Ukraine : Ukraine is another country that have implemented castration as punishment for rapists. They make use of chemicals to castrate the offenders. This law was approved on July 2019.
