
On Wednesday the Edo police commissioner, Johnson Kokumo, paraded six suspected suspects in an Ihovbe church in Benin, who allegedly raped and murdered a 100-level student in Benin University of Microbiology, Uwaila Vera Omozuwa.
Nelson Ogbebor, Tina Samuel, Mary Ade, Collins Ulegbe and Nosa Osabohien were suspected. The two men have been suspected of this.
The late Uwaila went to the church and read when she was raped and severely injured by suspects, which eventually resulted in her death.
The Commissioner of Police said The matter concerns Muhammed Adamu, the Police Inspector General, who has shipped murder experts to our police officers in Benin.
Today's evidence is due to the police's efforts to get to the root of the crime and today I announce to you the arrests of the perpetrators.
The post-mortem confirmed that the deceased has been raped by Kokumo.
He said he had previously told the state people that the police would do everything possible to uncover those behind his death, adding that the suspects parade had fulfilled their promise.
