Fulani Teenagers Arrested For Robbing Motorists Along Lagos-Ibadan Expressway

The Ogun State Police Command has apprehended three fulani teenagers along Alapako area of Lagos-Ibadan Expressway for alleged robbery of motorists.

However, the suspects were identified as, Uzefa Idris, 19years old; Adamu Yakubu, 18years old; and Ayuba Buhari, 17years, it was gathered that the divisional police officer of Owode Egba Division, SP Matthew Ediae received a distress call leading to the arrest of the suspects.

This was released in a statement on Sunday by the the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Abimbola Oyeyemi.

The PPRO said, the DPO received information that some gangs were on the expressway and forcefully robbing a passengers of a Mazda bus.

Further speaking, the PPRO said, upon receiving the information, the DPO immediately let his team of anti-robbery squad to the scene.

However a passenger identified as Olawakemi Oyegade had his N545,000 and an itel phone recovered from the robbers.

Also "N99,700 and one itel phone was found with the robbers."

Finally the PPRO said, Mr Kenneth Ebrimson the state commissioner of police, has directed the case to be transferred to the Anti-Robbery Squad for further investigation and action.
