The Police Operatives in Ogun State have shot a Kidnapper during a police raid at Sagamu area, in the state as they also rescued two persons who were held hostage alongside at the same area.
Abimbola Oyeyemi, Being the Public Relations Officer have confirmed this incident in a statement on Wednesday.
The Officer further explained that the operation took place immediately after some divisional police officers on a routine patrol noticed some unusual looks on the faces of the people inside a Sienna bus which had the below registration number.

The Police Spokesman continued as he detailed that it was as a result of the suspicious impressions on the faces of the occupants in the vehicle that called the attention of the police to quickly stop the vehicle.
But instead of stopping the vehicle the driver hit up his speed limit off towards Ijebu-Ode road and the DPO ordered his men to quickly chase after them.
During the chase the Kidnappers started a gun firefight while they were chased after and the policeman retaliated immediately by firing gunshots back at them.
However, when they observed that the fight has turned on them they abandoned the vehicle and ran into the bush which the policemen followed them up without cease into bush where they shot one of this Kidnappers dead while the others escaped with several gunshot injuries.
And the police rescued two people unhurt after the incident which their names and photos are detailed below.
The victims of this operations include two youth corps members namely;
1. Okoroji Agne and Tawa Sosanwo
Other things Recovered from the kidnappers’ vehicle after the incident are; one black toy gun, one gold wristwatch, One Samsung Galaxy S7 phone, one cutlass, and one black wristwatch.
The Commissioner of police, has however vowed to track down the escaped culprits and apprehending them back for them to face the law in order to maintain peace in the society as the police will continue with the good work.
While he also urged the residents of the state to report anyone seen or observed to have a gunshot wound as the police will continue to search for these criminals and arrest them immediately when they are sighted or reported.
He also asked all hospitals within the state to report anyone who checks in with a gunshot injury.
At this rate, the society and especially hospitals are in great position to help the police in other to apprehend this culprits before another crime is committed by them.
