Afterwards, Peruso lied to his boyfriend that he had been violated by Blackburn, and they began to plot. According to a friend, Weaver contacted a man who claimed to be a killer and asked him to kill Blackburn when he came home from work. The killer reported weaver to the police and met weaver with plain clothes officers.

After the disclosure of the plan, Weaver and peruso were arrested by the police and charged with instigating others to commit first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit first-degree murder.

At present, the two are being held in lakoming County prison with a bail of US $1 million
