Remarkable: See How This Boy Recovered His N260,000 From Police After Extortion.

As a boy or guy below the age of 30 in Nigeria, the story of police brutality or harassment is not something new to them as a high percentage of boys within that age range has experienced it once or many times. They live in fear of being harassed especially by the Federal Special Anti Robbery Squad (FSARS) and after lots of cries against them, they were reformed , yet the harassment didn't appear to stop.

A popular online influencer took to twitter to share his ordeal on how he was extorted by some police officers in Ogudu. He explained that he was stopped and they were checking his mail, chats, twitter and Instagram accounts even after he explained to them that he is an influencer that gets deals from different brands for ads and promotions, yet they violated his right to privacy and went through his private stuffs.

It didn't end there as he further explained that he was forced to write a false statement against himself as a confession. They accused him of being gay and he was beaten and after much pleading, they agreed to collect a total of 260,000 Naira from him.

However, he brought the whole story to twitter after he has been extorted and he tagged a popular lawyer, Segalink, who has been known to help many Nigerian youth fight against police brutality and harassment. After proper confirmation, Segun Awosanya [Segalink] with his crew took some steps and got the issue settled.

Now, segalink responded and said that the young man should go back to the police station where his money would be refunded. Also,he said he has received a call from the DPI of the Branch asking him to come to the station to Identify the Policemen with such act.

We await justice on these ones and also look forward to when police brutality and harassment would come to an end in this country
