Rivers state police command has successfully arrested the two suspected dangerous cultist and oil thieves alleged to have buried their three victims alive for releasing information to the Nigerian police about their illegal oil bunkering activities in the state.
Premium News reported, the three kidnapped victims identified as, Barriston Nawee, Baridomale Sunday Tor, and Baridon Gbarabera were all buried alive with their hands and mouth tied by their abductors on March 14, 2020. Suspicion arose when the three victims failed to come back home after their daily activities.
The two suspects, who admitted to being members of Degbam cult group, were arrested following months of detailed investigation and the led men of the anti-cultism Unit of the Police command to the scene of the incident where the three decomposing bodies were exhumed.
During interrogation, the two suspects by name, Barididum Danaa, aka ‘kill and bury’ and his accomplice, Prophet Nkpe, admitted that they belong to the deadly cult group, Deygbam and that they tied their victims both hands and legs before burying them alive in a shallow well. Barididum Daana, also known as ‘kill and bury’ further added that the carried out the alleged crime after the discovered that their three victims were police informants who could release vital information about their illegal oil bunkering activities in the area.
