A lady was seen recently crying vehemently at the ATM, the girl mistakenly swap her ATM card with an unknown stranger claiming to help her.
The lady cried uncontrollably at The bank after losing N100k to a fraudster who claim to help her withdraw cash, According to the people, the lady spotted in the video was having problem with withdrawing money from her account at the ATM, so the young man stepped in to assist her with the withdrawing,
It was found that the lady was having up to 200k Naira in her account, during the process of assisting her, he asked for her Card PIN and she told him, He successfully completed the transaction for her and handover the card and the money to her.
People said that he withdraw 100k Naira for her before leaving, However the innocent lady did not know that he had swapped her card with his empty card, till she got a debit alert of 100k Naira. Afterswapping the card, he rushed to another bank and withdrew her last N100k.
HERE ARE LESSONS FROM THE STORY
1. NEVER SHARE YOUR CARD PIN WITH ANOTHER PERSON
While at a the ATMnever share your card PIN with anybody that you didn't trust, your ATM card PIN is meant for you alone, that is why it is called personal pin, whenever you noticed that someone else know your card PIN, report to the bank so that they can block the card immediately.
2. ALWAYS MONITOR ANY TRANSACTION AT THE ATM MACHINE
If you ask anybody to render a help to you at ATM or in the bank, always monitor the persons transaction never allow the person to move an inch from your place, also you can report to the bank when you noticed unauthorised transaction from the person
3. AVOID RECEIVING HELP FROM STRANGERS AT THE ATM
Not only in the bank or at the ATM but within the community don't ever receive help from an unknown person try as much as possible does it help from someone you know or someone familiar in your community otherwise avoid the person, if you are going to the bank make sure you go with a learned person.
4. REPORT TO THE BANK SECURITY IF YOU ARE HAVING ISSUE WITH THE ATM
