Policemen Kill Kidnapper And Rescue Two Women Who Were Abducted With Toy Gun In Ogun State Today

The Policemen killed a kidnapper and rescued two women who were abducted with a toy gun in Ogun State today July 15.

The Public Relations Officer, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, revealed in a statement that the incident occurred when the DPO of Shagamu, Okiki Agunbiade sighted a suspicious looking Sienna vehicle while on a routine patrol.

This prompted them to flag down the car, but instead of the driver to stop, he sped off towards Ijebu-Ode road which made the police to chase them.

On realizing that they were being chased, the men in the Sienna opened fire on the Policemen thereby prompting a retaliation.

The kidnappers jumped out of their vehicle and ran into the bush with the policemen hot on their heels. One of the kidnappers was shot dead while others escaped with gunshot injuries.

The police rescued two women from the abandoned car identified as Okoroji Agnes, a youth corp member attached to the Federal Girls College, Sagamu and the other woman, Tawa Sosanwo.

The police also recovered a black toy gun, a gold wristwatch, a Samsung galaxy S7 phone, one cutlass and one black wristwatch.
