This incident may increase fears of people coming for treatment in government hospitals and reduce the number of persons coming to test for coronavirus.
This incident happened at an isolation centre located at the town of Busia well protected by policemen and prison warden , according to reports by the police, they said one of their colleague noticed the prison warden having a conversation with a patient, he was not comfortable and reported to other officers.
Few moments later, the officers outside heard a loud noise coming from the isolation center in the women’s ward, they police officers rushed inside and saw all the women outside so they were asked what was going on, the women outside told the officers that that a prison officer was inside raping a woman. A Health officers was called in, the officer was disarmed and quarantined.
The Police spokesman Charles Owino had not made any comment, after he was told what happened about.
