One Mrs. Binta Assaults And Locks Maid In The Toilet For 6 days because Of Missing Phone

Mrs. Binta allegedly brutally abused Felicity Dauda and locked her in the bathroom for 6 days without food or water.

Mrs. Binta M.K., a woman living with her husband in the Wuse II area of Abuja, allegedly attacked her maid and made her fight for her life in a hospital because of a missing mobile phone.

The 26-year-old maid named Happiness Dauda was brutally abused by her boss and was locked in a bathroom for six days without food or water.

The young woman, whose distressing experience was shared by a relative, is said to have survived by drinking her own water during the time she was locked in the bathroom.

According to Dauda, the lady's brothers came to her house every day and had just left the day before Mrs Binta started asking for her mobile phone.

The young woman, who claimed to know nothing about the missing phone, but who hit it repeatedly with a wooden mallet, wire and mortar until she passed out.

The lady threatened to kill her with a witch doctor and then forced her to confess to stealing the phone under duress.

"She was then physically abused by Mrs Binta, thrown into the toilet and locked up for six days.

"According to the maid, who has just regained consciousness after being unconscious for several days, he beat the lady with a wooden mallet, wire and mortar.She then locked her in a bathroom for six days without food or water.He announced that he survived the six days by eating her feces and drinking her urine.

"On the sixth day, according to her, she was taken out by her wife and thrown into the street with a certain N1000 to return to her people.

"Luck was rushed to Wuse General Hospital, Abuja, and the incident was reported to NAPTIP and the police," said one of the victim's relatives.

Mr Magnus, the NAPTIP official in charge of the case, confirmed the incident but refused to answer questions about his findings and the whereabouts of Ms Binta and her husband.

David Dogo, a relative of Ms. Dauda, said that an envoy of Ms. Binta and her husband had contacted him at the hospital to leave the case for compensation.
