A woman whose name is unidentified has taken to her social media page to narrate her sad experience with LASTMA officers in Igbo Efon.
The woman also revealed how she was illegally extorted by the LASTMA officer on her way to pick up her sick cousin.
A popular verified Instagram account known as Instablog9ja has taken to their page to share a video and screenshots of the woman’s story.
According to the woman, she wrote;
“Today as at 9am, I was on my way to pick up my sick cousin who needed an urgent attention. As i was driving, I noticed a car kept on trailing me from behind, despite making several turns.
I made another turn at Igbo-Efon, the car got closed to me and insisted that I must stop. I parked by the roadside and a LASTMA officer forcefully entered my car.
The LASTMA officer said i violated the traffic light rule which i know wasn’t true. I asked for an evidence but the officer couldn’t show me.
I explained to them that i have an emergency to attend to but they didn’t listen. They harassed for several hours and asked me to pay the sum of N50,000.
They pressured me until i gave them the last money i had with me since they were not going to let me go free.”
