Something very hilarious happened today during the NDDC investigative panel by the house of representatives.
Today was the turn of the Acting MD, Prof Pondei and he disrupted the session by apparently slumping on live TV to the astonishment of the panel members and Nigerians in general.
Video footage reveals the moment the MD gradually nodded his head and after some time, bent down his head with his eyes wide open, when some of the people around rushed to him and aided to bring him back to consciousness.
Most Nigerians have however, did not believe the act judging from the fact that this occurrence is a norm among our political office holders in Nigeria.
Now let us take a look at the most popular officials who have, at one point, feigned to faint while being accused of fraud or another issue.
Dino Melaye

A former spokesperson of the PDP, Olisa Metuh, slumped in court during the continuation of his trial for alleged fraud.

Although he was brought in an ambulance which suggested he already had medical issues, the high point was when he slumped in the courtroom while he was walking towards the dock, this immediately created abrupt chaos in the courtroom.
Monday Ubani
Former second Vice-President of Nigerian Bar Association, (NBA), He was rushed to an Abuja hospital after he collapsed while being held by the EFCC.
Ubani and Senator Christopher Enai had stood as aurties for the chairman of Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund (NSITF) Ngozi Olejeme who is facing a N6.4 billion fraud allegedly.
A family member had confirmed he collapsed in EFCC custodey after suffering severe dehydration and high blood pressure.
Joy Mbam
Wife of Late Chief Fidelis Mbam, former Secretary to Ebonyi State Government, was arrested on two counts charge of murder and forgery.
she was accused of conspiring to kill the husband sometime in 2018 and also accused of forging his will.
While trying to mount the dock, she slumped in court after slipping and the case was briefly adjourned to give her time to regain consciousness.
Peter Fayose
During his tenure as Governor of Ekiti State, the Nigeria Police Force had laid siege over the Ekiti State government house in Ado-Ekiti, and attacked outgoing state governor Ayodele Fayose.
Fmr Gov Fayose was said to have slumped after he was allegedly teargassed by the security operatives.
Prof Pondei
The Acting Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NNDC), Prof Kemebradikumo Pondei today collapsed during the ongoing probe by the House of Representatives.
Pondei collapsed during the ongoing probe which is investigating reports of an alleged N40 billion irregular expenditure in the commission.
