It is not a crime to reprimand a child for doing something wrong,but when discipline a child goes beyond a military torture,then it's nothing but child abuse and whoever engage in such should be punished accordingly.
The video of a child being beaten mercilessly by her father surfaced online and people could not help but fault the action of the dad who went too far in reprimanding her teenage daughter for joining a Whatsapp group he forbids her from.
The beating was too harsh compared to atrocity committed.Looking at girl ,she should be around 17 to 18 years of age and yet the parent is melting such inhumane torture on her .If she should rebel, people will say she is a bad child.
I think our African Parents needs to be taught a bitter lesson so this torture called discipline will reduce. Hitting a child at slightest provocation will not make the child change her bad ways,rather it will get them hardened.
People have however call on the appropriate authority to arrest the father for this Abuse.
