Three police informants buried alive in Cross Rivers state by two culprits.

Two oil thieves has been arrested in Cross Rivers state on Thursday, 16th July 2020, for burying three police informants alive. 

The decomposing bodies of the victims were exhumed by the men of Anti Cultism Unit of Rivers State Police Command from Bera community forest in Gokana Local government, Rivers state. The victims were identified as Baridomale Sunday Tor, Barisiton Nawee and Baridon Gbarabera. The three were buried alive with their hands tied. 

According to the news, it was two notorious criminals who were also arrested by the police that led them to the place where the deceased bodies were found. 

The state police’s spokesperson, Nnamdi Omoni who confirmed the incident said that the three victims went missing on 14th March 2020. Not knowing that they have been buried alive by some culprits. 

The police spokesperson said that the suspects, one Mr. Prophet and Barididum Dabama also known as “kill and burry” confessed that they are responsible for the crime. They said that they killed the victims because they informed the security agents that they are stealing and selling crude oil in the area.
