A 22 year old internet scammer popularly known as Yahoo Yahoo, Kenneth Gift has been arrested by EFCC for suspected internet fraud in Delta State. It was learnt that Kenneth was apprehended by the Benin Zonal office of the Economic and Finance Crimes Commission in Agbor, Delta State.
The 22years old who is a Computer science undergraduate of UNIPORT got arrested alongside his girlfriend Dandy Spice and mother Dorah Animam. Their arrest is as a result of a petition from the US FBI investigation.
The following items were recovered at the point of arrest: 5 bedroom duplex, Mercedes Benz about three models, Laptops and smart phones. We had it that the suspects has made useful statements and would soon be charge to court for violations of law once investigations are completed.
Internet fraud has become the order of our society nowadays as youth now see it as an easy source to sharp wealth and success. Giving the Rate of unemployment in our country Nigeria, we shouldn't blame our youths largely for their immoral acts.
But internet fraud is immoral in our society which can be penalised when caught. The question now is "should we blame our youths or the country for not providing opportunities"
