An undergraduate identified as Kenneth Gift was arrested along side his girlfriend and his mother for suspected internet fraud.
Source revealed that the defendants were arrested through the aid of the US Federal Bureau of Investigation, FBI.
Items recovered from them are listed below according to the EFCC on their Official page on Instagram.
Taking to Instagram, they wrote:
EFCC Arrested Uniport Undergraduate, Mother, Girlfriend For Suspected Internet Fraud.
Operative of the Economic and Financial Crimes against, Benin Zonal Office on Thursday July 16, 2020 arrested 22 year-old company science undergraduate of the university of Port Harcourt, Kenneth Gift, his girlfriend, Dendy Spice and Mother, Dorah aninah for suspected internet fraud in Agbor, Delta state.
Their arrest was sequel to a petition from the US Federal Bureau Of Investigation, FBI and intelligence operatives of the commission.
Items recovered from them at the point of arrest include 5-bedroom duplex, Mercedes Benz CA250, Mercedes Benz C250, Mercedes Benz GLK 350, Laptop computers and mobile phones.
The suspects have made useful statements and will be charged to court as soon investigations are complete.
What a pity! How sad the mother is involved.
