21 Died As Gunmen Invade Wedding In Kaduna and NDDC MD Slumps While Answering Questions From Reps

At least 21 people died and another 28 injured after suspected herdsmen invaded a wedding party in Kaduna State.

The attackers reportedly opened fire on the people at Kukum Daji village of Kaura local government area of the State, killing 19 on the spot. Two others later died in hospital.

Those injured in the Sunday, July 19 attack were taken to the Barau Dikko teaching hospital and other clinics in the state capital for treatment.

The President of the Community Mr Yashen Titus told Channels TV that the gunmen invaded the venue of the wedding party at about 10 pm on Sunday night.

The State Police Command is yet to confirm the incident.

Before the break, the Committee had asked him how he got approval to spend N1.32bn for COVID-19 palliatives.

 “I don’t want to lie under oath, but I will provide the answer,” Pondei said, slumping afterward when another question was asked.
