On the 9th of July 2016, Nigeria got the shocking news of a brutal murder that took place in the Federal Capital Territory.
A deaconess of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Mrs. Eunice Elisha, was killed on Saturday morning by unknown assailants while she was preaching. This incident took place around the Gbazango-West area of Kubwa, in the Federal Capital Territory.

It was reported that she went out for early morning evangelism at about 5am. She was stabbed in the stomach and also had a cut in her neck. She was found dead in a pool of her own blood with a copy of the Bible, a megaphone and a mobile phone. Due to the fact that none of her possession were taken, it was alleged that she was killed by religious fanatics.
Residents who found her alerted the policemen who came to evacuate her remains to the police station, where her husband and her children went to identify her body.
This was truly a sad day for her family, members of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, christians of all denominations, and the nation at large.
Several people came forward to testify that the deceased was an industrious woman and a passionate Christian who had no quarrel with anyone.

She is remembered today by her husband, her seven children, and Christians all over the world.
