Two suspected ritualists have been apprehended by the Oyo State Police Command in connection with killings at the Akinyele axis of the state.
One of the suspects, Sunday, confessed to the police that it was Ajani the herbalist who was the one sending him on such evil assignments.
According to him, whenever he spotted his victims, he would hit them with a shovel and when they laid in a pool of their blood. He was hitherto instructed to make some incantations and move around the body three times and then back it.
However, the herbalist had completely denied knowing the boy. According to him, he was bought by his mother to learn how to become a herbalist but because he was wayward he had sent him away. Shortly after he himself was arrested by the police.
It was revealed that suspects were responsible for the killings of Wasilat Adeola, Barakat Bello, Grace Oshiagwu, Mojeed Tirimisiyu, who was just five years old, and the attack on Adeola Azeez and her daughter, Dolapo Oyeyemi, who both luckily survived.
