Adedamola Adewale, Social Media influencer better known as Adeherself had been in costudy of the Economics and Financial Crimes Commision (EFCC) due to her arraignment in court for being in possession of fraudulent documents. She has just been granted bail of N500,000 by Ikeja Special Offense Court. Let's talk about how and why she was arrested.
As said by the EFCC counsel Mr Samuel Daji to the court, Adeherself was arrested following intelligence received by the EFCC on the activities of some young men involved in Internet fraud in the Lekki axis of Lagos, Adeherself was arrested along side these men on June 15, she had a fraudulent document in her possession which was entitled “Whatsapp” Daji added that “The offence violates Section 318 of the criminal Law of Lagos State 2011”
The ruling Justice Sherifat Solebo on Wednesday granted the defendant N500,000 bail and ordered that she provides two sureties with reliable means of income which would be verified by the court, then the case was adjoured until August 5 for substantive hearing.
