What Happens to Those Who Falsely Accused The RCCG Pastor of Murdering Uwaila?
Exodus 14:14 says, "The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace." Truly the Lord has fought for the Redeemed Christian Church of God's pastor who was earlier alleged to have committed the gruesome murder of his member, Uwaila Vera Omozuwa, a 22 year old 100- level student of the University of Benin.
Recall that Uwaila was said to have gone to the church to study when she was allegedly raped and wounded before she gave up the ghost in the hospital. Immediately, unfounded rumour had it that Uwaila was allegedly pregnant for the pastor. It was rumoured that the prime suspect confessed to the DSS that the pastor had asked him to terminate the pregnancy which she refused. According to the false report, the pastor then arranged with hoodlums to murder her with the sum of N1. 5 million.
Not just that, recall the other story that alleged that Uwaila was murdered because she was dating two roommates.
The apprehension of six suspects by the Nigeria Police Force has put an end to all unconfirmed stories relating to the death of Uwaila. The pastor most especially has been vindicated and absolved of all allegations pertaining to the issue. This can only be God.
However, the question is, what happens to those who falsely accused the pastor? Should they go scot-free for spreading false rumours to tanish the image of the church and Pastor?
What's your take on this?
