On Saturday the Edo State Police Commissar, Mr. Johnson Kokumo, paradeed in a Church in the Benin district of Ihovbe the six suspects that allegedly raped and murdered a 100-level University Benin student, Uwaila Vera Omozuwa.
The suspects are Ms Nelson Ogbebor, Ms Tina Samuel, Ms Osabohien, and Ms Collins Ulegbe.
Remember, Late Uwaila went to the church to read that she was raped by suspects and seriously injured and eventually caused her death.
The Commissioner of Police said: We are very concerned about the Inspector General of Police, Muhammed Adamu, who sent killing experts in Benin to work with our police.
What we're seeing today is a result of the police's efforts to get the crime root, and today I announce the detention of the perpetrators.
The post-mortem confirmed the deceased was raped, said Kokumo.
He said that he told the state population earlier that the police were doing everything possible to disguise those behind her death and that the suspects' parade had delivered their promise.
