32 kidnapped Victims were rescued by the Nigerian army.

A Notorious Kidnapper identified as, Zwa Ikyegh has been eliminated by Nigerian Troops during Operation Whirl Stroke at Logo Local Government Area (LGA) in Benue State.

Rescued from the kidnapper are 32 people held hostage by Zwa for over a month.

Major General John Enenche, the Coordinator, Defence Media Operations, disclosed this in an official statement on Friday. According to him, the troops acted on credible intelligence on the activities of the "notorious Kidnap syndicate" whose den was located at Tomayin Village in Logo LGA if Benue State.

He stated that the "bandits" were forced to flee into the bushes after Nigerian troops "responded with superior fire".

The Major General added, “The successful operation led to the rescue of 32 kidnapped victims, some of whom have been in captivity for over a month.”

This is a commendable achievement by the Nigerian army in their fight against bandits and criminals in the Northern part of Nigeria.
