Court sitting was cancelled today in Lagos after defence council refuse to show up in the court on the cause of alledge fraud which a man called Nasiru Sanni did. This happen today in Lagos, EFCC confirmed it with a tweet which reads.
"The trial of Nasiru Sanni, a suspected fraudster who is being prosecuted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, for an alleged N18.7 million fraud, before Justice Sherifat Solebo of the Special Offences Court sitting in Ikeja, Lagos could not continue today, October 5, 2020, due to the absence of the defence counsel"
This is not proper at all for the defence council not to show up in the court room on the day of a case. Defence Counsel is a person or people that defend the accused or defendant in a case. The case could not continue continue because the defence council were absent in the court. The accused was charge to for alleged fraud to the sum of 18.7 Million Naira.
