Lagos State Governor Visits The Family Of A Man Killed During The EndSars Protest
The Governor of Lagos State has visited the family of a man hit by police bullet during the endSARS protest in the Surulere area of the State on Monday.
Mr Okechukwu Iloamuazor until his death was a driver. Mr Sanwo-Olu described the incident which led to his death as unfortunate and he should not have died under the circumstance. Th Governor assured the family that those involved in his death will be brought to face the consequences of their actions.
The Governor said that the four Policemen who opened fire on the protesters have been identified by the State government and the police authorities. They are presently undergoing an orderly room trial at the Police command in Lagos and would be punished beyond the established disciplinary guidelines of the Police force.
Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu promised that all those maimed during the EndSARS protest will be compensated adequately and will be honored by pushing for reforms in the Police system.
