The Anambra Police Command earlier today nabbed an elderly man for unlawfully having carnal knowledge of a 20-year old young man for ritual purposes.
This was contained in a news release by Haruna Mohammed, the Public Relations Officer of Anambra Police Command and updated on the official Facebook page of the Anambra State Broadcasting Service this evening.
According to the report, the elderly man identified as Josephat Unachukwu of Uruagu, Nnewi North Local Government Area of Anambra State, aged 58, unlawfully slept with a 20-year old young man in order to prepare charms allegedly given to the latter for ritual purposes.
The shady deal between the duo was leaked when the young man started exhibiting strange ailment which led him to confess.
Mr Unachukwu consequently admitted to the crime after a confessional statement to the police. He blamed the devil and his minions for nudging him to commit such act. The young man has been rushed to the hospital for medical examination and possible treatment.
The Commissioner of Police, Anambra State, CP John B. Abang has ordered for the immediate transfer of the case to the State's Criminal Investigation Department (CID) for discreet probing in order to unravel the mystery surrounding such despicable incident.
