31 year old man arrested for allegedly defiling a 4 year old girl in Anambra.
The issue of rape seems to be on the rise yet still, as some men cannot control their sexual urge. The trends becomes more terrible when the suspect make minors their victims.
There was yet another rape case in the south-eastern part of the country, and the suspect, one Mr Sunday Eyim, (whose photo is above) was arrested by the police for allegedly defiling a minor for reasons best known to him.
The suspect who is 31 year old was caught in Awka, Anambra state, after he had dealt wickedly with a four year old girl.
Mr Haruna Mohammed, who is the spokesperson of the state police department, in his statement regarding the matter, said the suspect Mr Sunday allegedly had carnal knowledge of the little girl in his room.
The victim seems to be one of the children in the neighborhood who come around Mr Sunday’s house to play. Mr Sunday took advantage of this opportunity and defiled her.
In a public statement, the SP, Mr Haruna warned the general public to be cautious and watchful of their children whereabout. He was particular about parents and guardians.
He also encouraged the children to always report any suspected person, (be it a stranger or not) who is making any sexual harassment or advances on them, to their parents.
With the trend on minors being defiled, one would wonder what could be the reasons why men go for minors.
