While investigation went on, Iyabo confessed that she did it solely to get married to her newly found lover. The ugly incident was reported to have happened in Odigbo Local Government of Ondo State.
The incident was however confirmed to be true by the State's Commissioner of Police, Bolaji Salami whose reports read as follows:
"One Suleiman Azeez, 25, a commercial motorcyclist, left home for his daily bread with his Bajaj motorcycle but did not return home. His body was later found in a pool of blood around the 12/12 area Odigbo via Ore."
Upon pilfering the ex-lover's possession, Officers tracked Iyabo and her lover and The case was subsequently transferred to the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, Akure. Upon discreet investigation, detectives trailed the and realized that, they were on the move to sell the stolen motorcycle of Suleiman Azeez.
The CP however added that some items (Toyota Corolla, TVS Motorcycle, and 231,000naira) were recovered from Iyabo and her new Lover, Adedayo.
Lastly in the CP's statement was the fact that, Iyabo and her new lover would be arrainged before the court as soon as possible.
