Earlier on Today, Mrs. Joy Nunieh's PortHarcourt home was invaded and surrounded by the Police.
She has called the police commissioner in Port Harcourt to make enquiries about this development and was told that the State division had no hand in it.
Reports coming in is that Nyesom Wike, Rivers State Governor is there presently to address the issue.
It should be noted that the police who had surrounded the former Managing Director of NDDC had stopped her from going to Abuja where she is to appear before the House of Representatives investigative hearing today.
Mrs. Joy Nunieh had accused Godswill Akpabio of wanting to take adv of her and had slapped him, an incident which have taken many Nigerians by surprise. She suspects that Akpabio has a hand in the development therein.
News reporters who tried to get some information before the arrival of Governor Wike where told to back off by the Armed Police officers, who said that no media presence was allowed.
With Governor Wike's presence, the current stand off between Mrs. Joy Nunieh and the armed Police officers might be resolved.
