The social media influencer was arrested following intelligence received on the activities of some alleged internet fraudsters in Lekki, Lagos, in which she was found amongst them

The accused, Rukayat Adedamola, Adewale, pleaded not guilty to the one count charge.

While asking for a trial date, the Prosecution counsel, S. O. Daji, prayed that Adeherself be remanded in the custody of the Nigerian Correctional Service, NCS, pending the date to be granted by the court.

In his defence, Rukayat's counsel informed the court of an application for his client and also prayed for a short date to enable its hearing.

The presiding judge, Justice Solebo adjourned the matter to July 13, 2020 for hearing of the bail application, as requested by the defence counsel.

She, however, ordered the defendant, Rukayat, to be remanded in the EFCC custody, pending the opening of the application of her request for bail.

It will be recalled that Adeherself, and others, were arreated by the anti graft agency for their involvement in fraudulent activities.
