Woman to face 35 years in prison for killing her 5 years old son who soiled his underwear

Even if there is no medical name for some mothers' misdeeds, sometimes people are purely mean, evil and manipulative.

Just because a negative mothering experience was not your experience doesn't mean it isn't possible or doesn't happen. And just because someone gave birth does not mean that they are automatically the loving, maternal kind. Their "love" can be like a hurricane.

The fact is many people—not only as a child, but even into their own adulthood—experience ongoing emotional and psychological abuse at the hands of their biological mothers.

This was the case of JoAnn Cunningham who was sentenced on Friday the 17th of July 2020 to 35 years in prison for the 2019 murder of her 5-year-old son AJ Freund, whose body was found in a shallow grave in Illinois and also a three years of mandatory supervised release in the young boy's murder. She will be required to serve her full sentence, the judge ruled

Cunningham, 37, pleaded guilty in December to killing her son. Her sentence is set to begin immediately and will be served on its entirety without reductions other than time served.

AJ Freund, five, who was placed in a cold shower until he would admit the truth about hiding his soiled underwear was then killed and buried in a shallow grave.
