Reports came that a young man has allegedly committed suicide as a result of been wrongly accused of rape by a Twitter influencer.
Twitter user has taken to their handles to seek justice of the young man. A current trend on Twitter is #JusticeForIzu after the young man with the user name "Legend Izu" took his life due to wrong rape accusation.
Twitter influencer who published his name is named Nanichi Anese. She also published names of other men who were also accused of being rapists.
It was however revealed that the young man in question, Izu, reached out to Nani requesting to know who exactly he had raped. Nani (Twitter influencer) never gave him the exact name of the person instead she claimed that the accuser didn't want to be known.
She however later revealed that the alleged victim said the assault was a "nom physical sexual assault".
The young man kept trying to erase his name from the list of rapists as published but Nani was not really helping matters for him.
The young Izu finally left an apologetic note saying although he doesn't know who exactly was behind his being accused, he was sorry for whatever he'd done and to whoever he had hurt that let to him being accused.
His last tweet read: "Oh and if you're reading this, I'm dead lol".
Nani had deactivated her account as the news of Izu's suicide was made public hits the internet.
Old chats from Izu's phone revealed that Nani had sometime ago asked him out and he declined.
Nigerians have taken to Twitter to demand Justice for young Izu.
