Sabo is a very popular term used when explaining Hausa community in a foreign land. Sabo in Ibadan, located around Mokola and Jemibewon road axis, the Hausa annex of the city popularly called Sabongari or Sabo for short is in sharp contrast to the rest of the city, with its old sparse buildings and peculiar culture, bursting out onto the streets. Phones are now the market of the day. Stolen phones are sold at any rates in Sabo. Sometimes a phone bought by the user at the rate of 100,000, when it comes to Sabo, it can be sold for just 30,000 or 20,000 mainly because it was a stolen good.
