Here are answers to your questions on what you should do when someone decides to points a gun at you?
Yes there are many things you can do when someone decides to point a gun at you. Also it also depends who points the gun at you.
Here are categories of people and what you should when any decides to point a gun at you.
1. Law Agent.
When the gun is pointed at you by a law officer, that may only happen because you have been found guilty of a crime. The best thing to do is to obey the law agent and do what ever he ask you to do.
But if you know that you are not guilty for the offence, still obey the law officer and later the truth shall set you free.
2. If the gun is pointed by your loved ones
Yes there are times were your loved ones can point a gun at you, this may because you have done something wrong to them and they are angry with you, although this not common but in case it happens, the best thing to do is to talk to them calmly, talk to them on a low key, keep telling them to drop the gun and make sure you bring them back to their senses and everything will be okay.
3. When the gun is pointed by a child.
Children love play, they enjoy trying to do what they see in movie. A child may probably see a gun and try to play with it, they may point the gun at you because they have seen it several times on a movie. The best thing to do is to calmly take the gun out of there hands and tell them not repeat such again.
4. Arm Robbers.
There are times were robbers will hold riffles and trying to rub, if they are in control they will just rob and find their way.
The best thing to do is to remain silent and obey what they tell you to do. They will rub and walkaway, don't try to be the hero by trying to fight them and end up receiving lots of bullets without even saving the money... That is foolishness in the highest order. Always obey and they will live you unharmed.
5. When you already know the gun is unloaded.
There are times where a thief can step in your house weaponless, but as the thief enters then probably find your own weapon (gun).
If you are sure the gun is unloaded, that is when you are expected to try and defend yourself by fighting and taking the thief to the nearest police station or handle them to any law agent.
6. When the person means no harm.
There are times were you can knock on someone door and the person will just open with a gun especially when you are a visitor, there is no need for you to take any action because the person is just concerned about his/her security. The best thing to do is just to state clearly who you are and what brought you... All will be okay.
7. When the pointer is ready to shoot.
There may be a situation where you are absolutely certain they will pull the trigger (like they just shot your friend in the head and now it is your turn). If that is the case, do everything within your power to defend yourself. Run for shelter, throw something, stick a pen in their eye, punch them in the throat as hard as you can or apply deadly force using whatever self-defense knowledge you posses.
This would be an absolute last resort. Be prepared for the possibility you'll be killed, but it is better to do something rather than nothing - If you're absolutely sure they're seconds from pulling the trigger, just do anything you can, don't just hesitate do something from your power use anything available.
Hope your questions are answered on what to do when someone points a gun at you.
