Sunday Sodipe, a 19-year-old boy in Oyo State, has been arrested in connection with the ritual killing of six personas in Akinleye, the local government area of the state.
Sunday was paraded alongside the herbalist he worked for known as Adedokun Ajani, a 50-year-old man who had been sending him to carry these evil acts and operation. Shehu Usman, 20 were also paraded after he bought a stolen phone from Sunday. All there were paraded by the state commissioner of police Mr. Nwachukwu Enwonwu.
When interviewed by pressmen, Sunday confirmed he killed Barakat Bello, 18 on June 1, 2020. Then smashed the head of Mrs. Azeezat Somuyiwa with a stone on the 5th of June, took her phone, and sold to Usman. He also killed Grace Oshiagwu on the 13th of June and a 5-year-old boy, Mujib Tirimisiyu on the 22nd of June 2020.
His last operation was on the 29th, where he attacked a woman, Adeola Azeezat, and daughter with a hand shovel.
He mentioned that the herbalist always fortified him before he went in these evil missions and whenever he returns after successfully completing the mission, the herbalists rewards him with N500.
According to him he had no interest in the victims but was just carrying out the orders of the herbalist.
