The Lagos State Task Force on COVID-19, apprehended 65 party members on Wednesday for violating the lockdown order to prevent coronavirus spread in the state.
PUNCH Metro found that the criminals assembled for a birthday bash in the 84 Abule Parks and Gardens-Egba part of the state.
It was discovered that the task force containing personnel from the Lagos State Environmental Protection Authority, the Lagos State Health Commission, the Rapid Response Squad and the Lagos State Task Force on Environmental Sanitation and Special Offenses (Enforcement Unit) went to the site to apprehend the suspects after a tip-off from the public.
She said, "It's no longer business as normal in the state; this pandemic has put us all together and inspires people to engage in information sharing.

65 criminals were detained in 84 Park Parks, Augusto Near, Oko – Oba. The offenders were charged when they visited a birthday party and drank other items accused of being illicit narcotics.
"Many of the offenders had fun catching in the swimming pool, completely disregarding the social gap rules and the lockout order. The offenders, who are aged 16 and 45 years of age, confirmed that they had fled their separate homes for the hotel in spite of sitting at home.
"The hotel manager was detained simultaneously and the hotel was sealed off by the related state government departments. There is an open inquiry and the perpetrators will be arrested. ”
Elkana added that the police commissioner in the state, Hakeem Odumosu, called on citizens to remain a law-keeping parents and urging them to track their children's actions, especially during the lockdown span.
