Herdsmen kill Lord’s Chosen members; Police recover bodies

The Police Command in Edo on Saturday recouped the collections of two seized casualties purportedly killed by their abductors. 

As indicated by the order, the perished were seized by speculated Fulani herders on Jan 1 and murdered on Jan 7. 

DSP Chidi Nwabuzor, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in the state, told newsmen during the unearthing of the bodies that the casualties were on their way from the East to Lagos when they were hijacked. 

Nwabuzor said that on March 4, the order's Anti Kidnapping and Cyber Crime Unit, got an appeal from an attorney speaking to the Lord's Chosen Church, in Lagos on the issue. 

He said the solicitor had expressed that on Jan 1, at about 2:30 a.m., two of the congregation individuals, Basil Odoji and Innocent Udoh, were seized at Ahor By-pass on Benin-Auchi Expressway on their approach to Lagos. 

"Our agents took care of business and captured one Abdullahi Usman, matured 22 years at Aduwawa, Benin, and recouped one itel telephone having a place with Innocent Udoh, one of the people in question. 

"The suspect admitted to being a criminal and said that he and his pack individuals killed Basil Odoji and Innocent Udoh following seven days of imprisonment. 

"From there on he drove the police agents to Ahor people group where two of his posse individuals, Abdul Kadiri, matured 21 years; and Mohammed Lawan, matured 25 years, were captured. 

"The three suspects admitted to abducting and killing the people in question", he said. 

He further said that the Edo Commissioner of Police (CP), Lawan Jimeta, had felt for the groups of the people in question while guaranteeing them that equity would follow all the way through. 

"Regardless of COVID-19, the order is as yet working and stays focused on guaranteeing that it's established obligations are completed," Nwabuzor said. 

The suspects told newsmen in the wilderness, around two kilometers from Ahor bye-go, off Benin-Auchi Expressway where they executed the people in question, that they perpetrated the wrongdoing. 

They guaranteed that they were from Kaduna State and had been in Edo for over one year. 

They additionally revealed that they were herders before being selected into the grab posse by the pioneers who they just distinguished as Musa and Bello, presently on the loose. 

The speculates likewise said that theirs was a seven-man group, and asserted that the two casualties were executed by one of the pioneers in light of the fact that the casualties yelled and attempted to get away. 

The groups of the casualties have been taken to a funeral home.
