The men of anti-cultism unit of the Nigerian Police Force after bursting criminal gang in Rivers State. Two of the arrested gang members after their arrest unfolded the clue to the sudden disappearance and kidnapped of three Gokana community men. The names of the arrested gang members are Prophet Nkpe and Baridodun Ndaguma.
The arrested cultists viz Prophet Nkpe and Baridodun Ndaguma, led the Nigerian Police Force to where the three bodies were buried. According to report the dead bodies have being exhumed and deposited in the mortuary.
According to Nnamdi Omoni the three innocent young were killed because they reported an illegal bunkering activities going on in the community.
The arrested cultist however claimed they were not part of the killers. But saw the killing of the men over an allegations. They said that the reason for their death was related to an allegation that they were providing reports to police over illegal bunkering activities in B-Dere community.
Nnamdi Omoni claimed that, although, ransom were paid. Yet, the men were killed and buried. The families of the three dead confirmed that they were declared missing since 14 March, 2020. Even after meeting the arrested gang member they refused to release their corpse to them.
The families thanked the Nigerian Police for a job well done.
