Esther, who is a retailer and a mother of 4 children, claimed that her spouse, Alexander, is not a responsible man.
She declared that anytime she refuses to make love with him, he will blow the hell out of her.
"He is usually destroying my properties anytime we have an argument".
My husband indicted me of sleeping around. He does not trust me for once in our marriage. He finally told me he's no more interested in our marriage.
“I was able to build a house with my own wealth but he never appreciates it; all he would do is to beat me. He told me he will kill me and no one will query him for that. He stole my N100,000 that I intended to use in buying goods.
He was constantly treating me badly.”
The petitioner instructed the court to request the respondent to pack out of her house as she was tired of the marriage.
She asked the court to allow the children to be in her custody but asked that her husband should be responsible for their education and feeding.
The husband was not present in court to fend for himself, but it was his lawyer, Mr. Akhagbenin who represented him.
Attorney to the petitioner begged the court for the case to be postponed to allow his testifier, Samson, who is the couple's eldest child, to be available in court.
Mr. Oluwasegun Rotiba, the Judge of the court, requested both parties to accept peace and look for ways to settle the issue because of their children.
Judge Rotiba had suspended the case to the 18th of August, 2020.
