"We killed him because he knew us", Armed robbers confessed.

A robbery gang of four who killed a recharge card dealer at Daika in the Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State confessed on why they killed their victim.

It was reported that after thorough investigations these brutal criminals claimed to have killed their victim because he knew their faces.

The alleged suspects who were arrested on Tuesday in Jos, killed their victim at about 9pm on last Wednesday when he was on his way home from work, they also made away with the sum of three hundred thousand naira, recharge cards worth two hundred thousand and their victims ATM cards.

The names of these suspects are Austin Dankat, Manasseh Nansel, Frederick Ishaya and Aaron Emmanuel.

The leader of the vigilante group in the Mangu Local Government Area, Comrade Matthew Adamu, after his visit to the police station today said that the police were given a matching order from the commissioner of police to bring the killers to justice.

He also mentioned that during interrogation, they all confessed that they decided to kill the victim after stealing the money because they all knew him and did not want him to expose them, he also added that they would soon be transfered to the Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad for investigation and possible prosecution.
