Several Children Killed As Attackers Storm School In Kumba

At least eight children were killed and a lot injured after attackers stormed Mother Francisca International Bilingual Academy in the city of Kumba, Southwest Region of southwestern Cameroon with guns and other dangerous weapons.

These attackers arrived the school in civilian clothes and on motor bikes at around midday on Saturday. There was no immediate claim of responsibility of responsibility for this atrocity. However, reports have it that the attack is linked to a continuing struggle between government forces and armed groups in the English - speaking west seeking to form a breakaway state.

This separatist group as reported by confirmed sources, attacked the school at Kumba. During which, at least eight children were killed via gunshots and machetes and over twelve children were injured and are currently in the local hospital. The separatist group reportedly found these children inside a classroom and opened fire on them. Some of them were greatly jumping from two storey buildings.

This incident has generated an uproar on social media. I strongly hope that these attackers be caught and made to face the consequences of their actions.
