The Nigerian Man That Died While Rescuing A Drowning Woman, See Photos Of The River He Died

Who do you think of when you hear the word "hero"? Maybe you imagine Superman, Wonder Woman or Batman. Heros exist in reality but they do not wear capes. They are selfless, humble, and often overlooked. This is why it is important that we praise anyone who does something heroic irrespective of their color or nationality.

Today, the entire world is recognizing and saying thanks to a Nigerian, Folajimi Olubunmi-Adewole who selflessly risk and sacrificed his own life for a woman he never knew.

At just 20-year-old Folajimi Olubunmi-Adewole had is whole life ahead of him but he died trying to save a stranger from drowning. Folajimi and his friends were walking home after work on Friday night when they saw a woman fall off London Bridge.

Upon hearing the scream of the woman, Folajimi and another man immediately dived into the river to save her. The woman and the other man were pulled out of the river but there was no sign of Folajimi after an hour of extensive search making authorities to stop search. Sadly, Folajimi lifeless body was later seen by the shore on Saturday morning.

Folajimi's father Michael Adewola, 63, and his mother Olasunkanmi Adewole have been left heartbroken by the death of their son and are seeking for Justice. With a teary eyes, Mrs Adewole told Sky News: "I feel bad, because my son was trying to rescue a woman. I feel so bad.. and I want people to help me. I want justice for my son".

Folajimi heartbroken parents insist that not enough was done by the authorities to save their son. Thousands of Birtish people and media outlets have taken to social media to honor the young man and calling him a hero.

Folajimi died while trying to save a life of a stranger who fell of London Bridge into the deep River Thames. Below are photos of the river he died.

May the soul of Folajimi rest peacefully and May God give his grieving parents the strength to bear the irreplaceable loss.
