6 Nigerian Legends Who Are Over 90-Years-Old And Still Doing Fine (Photos)

There are Nigerian men and women out there who are legends in their areas of speciality. These legends are very well celebrated for their great input into their various area of speciality that have made Nigeria a better place and recognized as the Giants of Africa.

Though these men may not trend like before, but they really were the topic of discussion during their time. In today's article, we shall be looking at 6 of these Nigerian legends who are currently more than 90-years-old and still doing pretty fine.

1. Chief Akintola Williams

Born on the 9th of August in 1919, is one of Nigeria's legendary accountant known as Chief Akintola Williams. He was the first Nigerian and African to qualify as a chartered accountant, and doubles as the first ICAN President. The legend turned 102-years-old on the 9th of August, 2021.

2. Solomon Adeniyi Babalola

One of Nigeria's great missionary known as Reverend Dr. Solomon Adeniyi Babalola, was born on the 20th of April in 1929. He is a Nigerian Pastor who graduated from the Nigerian Baptist Theological Seminary, Ogbomosho in December 1949.

Rev. solomon Adeniyi served the Lord for a long time before his retirement. Even at age 92, the pastor is still doing pretty well.

3. Mabel Segun

Born in the year 1930, is the legendary Nigerian playwright and Poet known as Mabel Segun. She also happens to be a teacher, broadcaster and sports woman who writes short stories and children's book.

4. Charles Olumo

Nollywood veteran actor, Charles Olumo popularly known as Agbako and acts in most Yoruba movie, was born on the 19th of February in 1925. He celebrated his 96th birthday alongside actress Foluke Daramola and some other veteran actors on the 19th of February, 2021.

5. Blessing Akporode Clark

Blessing Akporode Clark is a former member of the Presidential Advisory Council, and also a former Permanent surrogate of Nigeria to the UN at New York. He is a Nigerian who was born on the 16th of April in 1930, and once served as a diplomat in America, Europe and Africa.

Blessing Akporode is aged 91-years-old and still doing fine.

6. Afe Babalola

Finally on my list is the founder of the Prestigious Afe Babalola University and a great Nigerian Lawyer. His name is Afe Babalola and was born on the 30th of October, 1929. At the age of 92, the legend is still doing pretty fine.

Most of these legends may not be heard as before in their areas of specialty, but these men lived a fulfilling life and were the centre of attraction during their time. We can only pray that they continue to live long to enjoy the fruits of their labour.
