These are the list of Igbo people indigenous to states outside the famous South East of Nigeria.
In Rivers State:
In Edo State:
In fact, most people do not know that Archbishop Benson Idahosa and his wife, are Igbos from Igbanke in Uhuonde local government area of Edo State. The mother of late Samuel Odaigbovo Ogbemudia is also from Igbanke.
Most indigenes of this town, just like the Ika people, bear hybrid names that most often could just fit well into the native Edo culture.
In Delta State:
In Bayelsa State:
Osekwenike, Abuetor and Eke Okpokri villages, all in Sagbama area of Bayelsa, are all Igbo people from Ukwuani stock, and as such, are Anioma Igbo clan of the Igbo ethnic group in Bayelsa.

Ikot Udo in Ika local government area of Akwa Ibom is an Igbo community.
In Benue State:
The Igbo people in Benue State particularly those in Ado, Oju, Obi, and Okpoku local government areas of Benue State were in existence before the advent of Christianity in Nigeria. The Igbo people found in Benue are:
These are people who would have been part of the present day Ebonyi state, but due to the fact that the Nigerian government carved them into Benue State during the state creation, they are now part of Benue State.
In Kogi State:
There are indigenous Igbo speaking communities in Kogi state, especially in Igbaji and Igalamela/Odolu local governments they are also found in smaller numbers in Ngwajala, Umuoye, Ubulie Umez and Ozara.
Note: the current Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, also made it known that his kingdom was initially conquered by the Igbo people, until they were rescued by Moremi, and he also spoke of the aboriginal Igbo community that still exits in Ile Ife till this day.
