Many people have been reacting to the story of a Nigerian Refugee who became a National Chess Champion at the age of 10.
The reality is that many people are smart, intelligent and talented but they don't have the opportunity to showcase their intelligence and talents.
However, the story of Tani Adewunmi, a Nigerian boy who won the NY chess championship two years ago while he was in a homeless shelter. Tani Adewunmi was lucky that his homeless shelter was close to a school with a chess program.
According to reports, Tani Adewunmi who is now well housed has officially become a National Chess Master after won a Chess Championship at age 10. Tani is also in 5th grade.
