How To Unlock Your Phone When You Are In An Emergency

Nowadays, mobile phones have taken more central stages in peoples' lives and some are already addicted to their phones without even knowing it.

Some individuals are quite concerned about their privacies and tend to keep things on their phones private. For these set of people, putting a password or pattern lock on phones seem like the best thing to do.

This would prevent others from accessing their phones without authorization. However, as much as that could be a good thing to do, it has some consequences attached to it.

One of the disadvantages of locking your phone is that it would prevent others from accessing your phone in an emergency so as to inform your family and loved ones.

In dire cases such as accidents, theft, sudden sickness and other similar situations - where you can't respond or use your phone, locking your phone with a password or pattern lock could be a very bad idea.

Meanwhile, there are some steps you can follow that could come in handy when your phone is locked. In this article, i will teach you how to add the numbers of your loved ones to your phone emergency hotline. This would enable them to be contacted in an emergency even when your phone is locked.

When your phone is locked, it usually shows "Enter password", you will see an "Emergency" button below. Click on the emergency button then click twice on the "Emergency information" button after that.

Then, you will see a pencil icon on your extreme right, click on it to edit.

Enter the contact you want to save as emergency. Remember that you can put as many contacts as possible but it's advisable to save numbers of active loved ones who know you very well i.e your father, mother, friends, siblings e.t.c.

Those contacts you saved can be called even when your phone is locked without entering your password. To call a number under emergency, you have to repeat the process above.
