Facebook is one of the social media applications that enable people to communicate and equally sell their goods and services. Just a month after Twitter was banned in Nigeria, a group has called for the ban of Facebook. They went to the Federal Ministry of Justice to submit their petition.
They held a few placards to portress their point.
Check out the Placards
Ban Facebook in Nigeria
Mark Zuckerberg no one elected you to any office in Nigeria
A country can never bow to a corporation get that into your head
Stop Facebook before Facebook stops our democracy
The Federal Republic of Nigeria not the Facebook Republic of Nigeria
Stop putting your thumb on the scale of political conversations in our country
Facebook must be banned to save our society
Hands off our democracy now.
The group was seen standing in front of the Federal Ministry of Justice as they make their demands. According to the video, they said that Facebook hinders freedom of speech and our country comes first before the gains of Facebook.
