The Northern States are becoming more and more restricted to the designs of bandits and kidnappers. Economic activities, schools, telecommunication networks, and major roads have been shut down in some Northern states due to banditry. The Governors in the Northern states are trying their best to stop the activities of bandits but they keep increasing every day in large numbers with their continuous attack on people.
According to a report on Daily Trust, Gov.Tambuwal of Sokoto State has shut down telecommunication networks in 14 Local Government Areas of Sokoto. This was as a result of fleeing bandits from Zamfara who are coming into Sokoto to terrorize people. The Governor made this announcement on a radio interview on Monday. Gov. Tambuwal said he sought Federal Government approval before carrying out the executive order. The governor said that the 14 L.G.A restricted from communication network are prone to bandit's attack which led to the executive order.
